CURRENT CONTAMINATED WATER TREATMENT TECHNOLOGY

Interestingly, current contaminated water treatment technology not only meets the EPA’s requirements but also ends up polluting more freshwater than necessary.

It is true that wastewater collection and treatment systems are too complex and extremely expensive because, in most cases, the industry is involved in the design, construction, maintenance, and repair, which costs billions of
dollars annually. To reduce the operational cost of decontaminating water, chemicals and filtration methods are used, with byproducts that are, ironically, sources of additional environmental pollutants.

The use of chemical and filtration processes in treating industrially polluted water is a pressing issue that demands immediate attention. These processes discharge toxic substances into water bodies, posing a significant
threat to marine life and human health. Furthermore, improper chemical waste disposal leads to soil contamination, necessitating costly and careful management and disposal.

Most filtration Processes are not only too expensive but also release residual contaminants into the environment. The majority of filtration systems consume significant amounts of energy, increasing carbon emissions, and produce sludge that must be properly disposed of to avoid environmental harm.

Reported by EPA

This pie chart shows the TRI-listed chemicals released into water bodies in the largest quantities during 2022.

U.S. facilities report detailed information to the EPA on their management of toxic chemicals, including their release into the environment. The Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) National Analysis interprets this information and examines release trends, waste management practices, and pollution prevention activities.

Contaminated Water Solutions’ custom-designed intelligent reactor device does not require chemicals or filtration processes. Our device not only saves clients substantial money, but it also protects the environment.
